This policy covers dpeportal.com and the forms on it, including the founding examiner waitlist. It explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. The DPE Portal product will have its own terms and privacy details when accounts open.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form on this site:
Founding examiner and early access forms: your name, email, phone number, the airports you fly from, your FAA designee number, roughly how many checkrides you give, and anything you tell us about how you book rides.
Contact form: your name, email, whether you're an examiner, school, applicant or other, and your message.
Applicant list on Find an examiner: your email, your airport and your checkride type.
Sign-in list: your email.
When you submit a form, the website also records whether you asked for product updates, the page you sent it from, the time, your IP address and your browser type. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
How we use it
To contact you about the founding examiner program and early access, set up your account when it's ready, answer your questions, and tell you when examiners are available at your airport. We only send product updates and early access news if you checked the box to get them. We read what you tell us about your practice to decide what to build. We don't sell your information or use it to advertise to you.
Who can see it
Submissions are stored in this website's database and are visible to the people running DPE Portal. The companies that host and operate the website process it on our behalf. We only share it with anyone else if the law requires us to.
Your FAA designee number
Giving us your designee number is optional. We use it only to confirm you're a current designated examiner before setting up your account. We never ask for your DMS or IACRA login, here or in the product.
How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and contact submissions while early access is running and for as long as we need them to set up and support your account. Ask us to delete them at any time and we will.
Your choices
You can ask to see what we have about you, correct it, or delete it by emailing [privacy contact email]. If you no longer want to hear from us, reply to any email we send and say so.
Children
This site is for pilots, examiners and flight training organizations. It isn't directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
